Below are the rules for the 2006-2007 Deer and Turkey seasons.
For the purposes of the rules below, the word "Member" may include all persons covered under a membership such as spouses and children. The word "Guest" applies to anyone not covered under the definition of membership as written in the club constitution.
Harvest Policies All non-spike bucks must have a gross B&C score of 130 OR have 10 points with a 16" inside spread. The fine for any buck not meeting one of those criteria is 20 dollars per B&C inch under 130 . To determine fines, the score will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. The only exception to this rule is spikes.
There is a fine for any spike with antlers 3 or less. There is a fine for spikes with antlers over. A maximum of 3 bucks with visible antler above the hairline may be harvested per membership (member/spouse/children/guests). Button bucks are not included. There is a fine per buck after 3 have been harvested. Bucks harvested by guests are counted as being killed by the member who invited the guest, and the bucks are included in the total for the membership. Members are held accountable for all fines incurred by their guests. Each individual guest may only kill 1 buck per season. After a guest has killed a buck, there is a fine for each buck killed by that guest. The antlers from ALL harvested bucks must be scored by one of the club officers for club records. If a deer is taken to the taxidermist, the antlers can normally be picked up in 2-3 days and brought back to be scored. All deer and turkey harvested must be photographed with the camera provided by the club. Also, each animal harvested must be recorded in the harvest data logbook. All turkeys harvested should have beards measuring 7 inches or greater. Guests A guest is any person not covered under the definition of membership as written in the Club Constitution.
Guest fees during deer season are 100 dollars per day in day increments for October 1-15. 150 dollars a day for October 16-31. 200 dollars a day for November bow huntimg, and 350 dollars a day for gun hunting. Daylight to noon and noon to dark are each considered day periods. The type of game being hunted does not matter. Example: If a guest hunts Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning, the guest fee will be 300 for 3 days in October . Guest fees during turkey season are 25 dollars per day in full day increments only. Any time a guest carries a gun on the property or accompanies someone carrying a gun, that guest is considered to be hunting. All hunting guests who are age 16 and older must pay a guest fee. Guest fees must be paid half at booking and half before hunting . Fees may be paid to one of the club officers or may be put in the lock-box if no officer is present. Members will not be allowed to hunt until the fees are paid in full. Members must notify one of the club officers before June 30. Failure to do so may be construed as an attempt to avoid paying guest fees. Guests must sign the Guest Sign-in sheet before hunting. Exceptions to the guest rules must be voted on by a majority of club members. Hunting For morning hunts, hunters should be in their stand before daylight and shouldn't leave until after 9:00 a.m. For afternoon hunts, hunters must be in your stand by 3:00 p.m. and must stay until dark. If a hunter can get to and from their hunting spot without coming within 500 yards of another hunter, this rule doesn't apply. Even if a deer is harvested, the hunter should remain at their hunting spot until after the allotted times.
No one may hunt if they have consumed too much alcohol. The present members (not including the member in question) will decide if the member has had too much. This also applies to members who have had too much to drink the night before. All Illinois Hunting Regulations must be followed at all times. Anyone under the age of 15 must be with an adult at all times while on the hunting property, even while hunting. Additionally, children of any age may be required to be accompanied by an adult if they demonstrate unsafe hunting practices. All stands found on the property except for climbing stands and lock-on stands will be open to any member. Lock-on stands overlooking food plots are also open to other members. Otherwise, hunters must check with the stand owner before using someone else's climbing stand or lock-on. Hunters must sign-in on the property map before hunting. Sign-in guidelines are posted on the map and should be followed. Vehicles No vehicles should be driven on the property during hunting season. No vehicle traffic except 4-wheelers off the main road any time during the year when roads are wet. Work Days There are several scheduled work weekends per year. Each member is required to work a minimum of 4 days. A fine of per day will be assessed to each member who does not meet the minimum requirements. Provisions may be made for make-up days for members unable to attend the scheduled weekends. However, members are expected to perform their fair share of the work.
Smoking There will be no smoking allowed on the hunting property or in the camp house at any time. Smoking is only allowed on the porch and in the camp house yard.
Miscellaneous Any member caught intentionally trying to deceive the club in any manner (unreported deer, guest fees, etc.) will immediately have their membership status subject to a vote of the club officers. The officers may decide, at their discretion, to revoke club membership or impose an appropriate fine or penalty.
A fine may be imposed by the club officers for any rule violation. The amount of the fine is left to the discretion of the club officers. All rules are strictly enforced and apply to each member equally including club officers. All outstanding fines must be paid in full before the member can hunt. Hunting without paying outstanding fines may result in additional fines.
